January 31, 2017, Calgary, Alberta – Calgary Co-op is excited to announce Random Acts of Co-op, a member appreciation and education campaign aimed to celebrate loyal members, while engaging and educating younger shoppers on what it means to become a Co-op member themselves.
Throughout the month of February, Co-op food centres will take turns each day completing a Random Act of Co-op. What is a Random Act of Co-op? Any act that acts as a reminder to support local businesses and producers; importance of being part of a community; or even how a simple deed can brighten your day. Participating locations include food centres in Calgary, Airdrie, High River and Strathmore.
“Our vision is to touch the lives of our community by being respected as the best, most trusted place to shop – every day,” said Ken Keelor, CEO, Calgary Co-op “As a cooperative business which has been operating in Calgary since 1956, we are in a unique position to connect with the people of the communities we operate in because we really have grown up together – let’s celebrate that!”
While February will act as a pilot period for the campaign, Calgary Co-op will continue the member appreciation and education campaign throughout the year.
