We’re proud to support…

The following food banks and organizations dedicated to food security.

The Airdrie Food Bank is the first line of emergency food support for families and individuals facing crisis.

The Calgary Food Bank is the first line of emergency food support for families and individuals facing crisis. Their collaboration and food support to hundreds of other charitable organizations works to address the root causes of food insecurity.

Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids works with community groups and volunteers to provide lunches to approximately 5,000 kids each school day. School staff help identify young students in need, then retirees, parent groups and local businesses help to make each bagged lunch. This program works to give students the nutrition they need to achieve their best.

The Calgary Seniors’ Society provides support for seniors who are most at-risk, enabling them to receive critical social, emotional and practical support. Calgary Co-op’s support includes providing emergency food and essential products to seniors in need.

The Children’s Cottage Society provides families staying at Brenda’s House (an emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness) with nutritious meals. Meals at Brenda’s House are designed by a dietician and served to families in need, three times a day.

FearIsNotLove‘s mission is to support all people to live free from fear, neglect, violence and abuse. Previously called the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter, the agency supports more than 20,000 individuals each year through a comprehensive range of innovative programs and emergency supports.

Through the Foundation’s support over 10,000 meals will be provided to families experiencing a housing crisis through its meal service program. Learn more about Inn from the Cold.

Calgary Meals on Wheels offers a home meal delivery program to provide those in need with freshly-chilled or frozen meals. This service promotes health and independence by offering clients access to nutritional meals every day of the year, delivered right to their doorsteps by caring volunteers.

The Mustard Seed is a safe and supportive place where individuals experiencing barriers associated with poverty and homelessness can meet their short-term physical needs (shelter, food and clothing) and grow toward greater health and independence.

The Salvation Army High River Food Bank supports families in need in the High River and area with food and essentials.

Unison is a not-for-profit organization that provides programs and services developed to support generations 50+ to live their best lives. Unison also helps those 50+ who are experiencing elder abuse and food insecurity ensure they have access to food and nutrition.

The Wheatland County Food Bank prepares about 800 hampers a year for needy people who live in Wheatland County.

Through the Foundation’s support Wood’s Homes provides meals to youth and young adults who face homelessness.
