Cook two slices of bacon per person in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat, transfer to paper towels to drain while you cook fresh Only Alberta Beef burger patties in the same skillet, in the bacon drippings.
Close the BBQ lid or cover the pan loosely with a piece of foil, and cook for about 5 minutes.
Flip and cook in the same manner for another 4-5 minutes.
Turn the heat off, leaving the burgers on the grill or skillet, and place a slice or sprinkle some grated cheese on top of each. Close the lid or cover for a few minutes, until the cheese melts.
Serve on buns, with the bacon and your choice of condiments.
