Heat your grill to medium-high heat and turn off one of the burners.
Core your favourite type of apples.
Cut butter into finger-sized pieces (approximately 1/2 tablespoon each).
Insert butter into cored apple, along with 2 tbsp of brown sugar (and cinnamon to taste).
Place apples in pan (something like a loaf pan or baking pan). Place on the section of the grill that doesn't have direct heat underneath it.
Cook until apple skins burst.
Serve with a spoonful of your favourite vanilla ice cream.
