  • 2 teaspoons Co-op Gold cinnamon, ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom, ground
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Co-op Gold paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Co-op Gold cayenne
  • 1 teaspoon Co-op Gold garlic powder
  • Condiment
  • 1 lime, juiced and zested
  • 1/2 cup Co-op Gold mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary, very finely chopped

How to Make It

  1. Preheat grill to high heat.

Piri Piri Seasoning Blend

  1. Combine all ingredients for the seasoning blend in a small bowl and stir to combine.
  2. Place ground beef in a medium-sized mixing bowl and season with three tablespoons of the piri piri seasoning blend.
  3. Mix thoroughly to combine. Form the mixture into four even-sized patties, pressing firmly to force out any excess air.
  4. Grill on medium-high heat until fully cooked to an internal temperature of 71° C (160° F), about five minutes each side. Grill onion rings until tender.

Condiment

  1. While the burgers and onions are grilling, make the condiment.
  2. Combine lime juice, zest, mayonnaise and rosemary in a small bowl and stir to combine.
  3. To assemble, dress the grilled patties with the condiment. Top with grilled onions and fried egg.
